ITP conducted a study with the aim of proposing a method suitable for the routine assessment of the cleaning and disinfecting of piggeries. The results presented here allow an inspection procedure to be set up. This procedure is also a tool that allows the efficacy of different cleaning-disinfecting practices to be tested. It can also provide objective criteria for quality control. A decision tree for control operations is proposed.
