The process of emptying, cleaning and disinfection of slurry pits

The whole testing allowed it to prove the interest of emptying and washing the slurry pits (average cost of 4 € per sow per year) at the level of bacteriological results. For an additional cost of 3 €, the disinfectionof slurry pits only allows to reduce residual contamination of the concerned sites. It is therefore more judicious to replace it by a thermonebulization process.
