Regulations governing the importation and use of GMO in the EU : How might this impact on the supply of raw materials to livestock feed sectors ?

This study reviews the regulatory requirements governing the import, marketing and labelling of GMO in the EU and its memberStates. It presents the opinions of importers and livestock feed industrials on the practical application of these requirements.It assesses asynchronous authorisations and difficulties in securing supplies, which are set to become major concerns as of late2008. It also considers the possible future for non-GMO labelled sectors against a background of high-priced raw materials, andthe attitude of countries and sectors engaged in export.
