The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (AURA) region of France is one of the forefronts in climate change. Indeed, hot summers with low rainfall occur at a time when the needs of livestock farms are greatest, which puts pressure on water supplies and competition, among other things, against residential provision. CERCEAU is a regional project with the objective of optimizing water resource management. To update regional water consumption data, the first part of the CERCEAU project is to collect data from pig farms. These data are compared with French national benchmarks and will serve as a basis for the following phases of the project.
