In 2024, slaughterings in the Uniporc zone totalled 18.3 million pigs, down slightly on 2023 (-0.4%) and representing 83.4% of national slaughterings (compared with 84% in 2023). As a result, slaughterings will stabilise after falling by 4.8% between 2022/23 and by 1.1% between 2021/22. Carcass weight has increased to 96.64 kg (+820 g in one year).
